Hi, guys. I haven't got luck..... I called to the number set on the webpage (contact), and Raquel, the girl who answered was really kind, but she doesn't have any information about our Master..... the girl responsible was not there when I call. She told me that we must be patient........Whenever they receive some information, they are going to contact us by mail....................................................................................
I guess calling there doesn't help too much. We just need to wait. And we are still in March...

I am applying to the 2011-2013 edition. Would reallly love to know if anyone gets notified of the results!!!!
Posted Feb 15, 2011 09:07
Yes, you get notified. I got first an e-mail, in mid february, saying I have been awarded with a scholarship, and the track they chose for me. One or two weeks after, I got another e-mail requiring me to send them the hardcopies of my application. Then, on March 31st (the last day possible, their deadline) I received the scanned version of my official acceptance to the programme and the scholarship. Months later, I got in my house the original documents (leter of acceptance and accomodation in Spain for me to start with the visa procedures).
Keep in mind that we received the money for installation costs and the first two months in October, so bring your own money for August and September, and maybe October as well.
Good luck with your application!

Hey aguacata
ThX so muuuuuuch for offering the schedule. Are you attending the 2010-2012 edition or 2009-2011 edition?

Hi Wendy!
Like a month ago I called Deusto to ask something about my toefl scores, and they told me that because this year the application deadline was set up so late, they will probably contact preselected candidates by the end of February or even early March.
I have applied to both programmes. I hope to hear about EMLE this week. I am keeping my fingers crossed!!!
What about you? Did you only apply to the EMTTLF programme or to both?
Where are you from by the way...

hey eu2011, ThX for sharing the schedule. I found out the EM program so late that I only caught the deadline of EMTTLF. So this is the only program I applied. I am from China. You can infer that from my name--Wendi, not Wendy. How about u?

Hey anyone has any clues about the dates? it seems they are taking an extra long time figuring anything out.
Last year (applied to both, got in to both - ended up doing something diffrent) i had the Emle results end of january and Emttlf mid Feb.

No idea. I am getting really anxious. I assume you applied again this year. Did you get the scholarships last year?
Posted Feb 21, 2011 14:57
Tution waiver on the emle (they only allow two per country and i was ranked 3\4 nationally) and full one to Strasbourg with the emttlf.
Posted Feb 21, 2011 16:36
so, did you attend to any of the programs?
Posted Feb 21, 2011 16:44
"Ended up doing something diffrent" - so no.
Technically the Emttlf is on track - and should have had their selection sometime last week, the emle has someone new runing the show and G-d knows what's her schedule, though techincally she has untill the end of the month.
it's just that here were some admin issues with the Emle application this year - so i just want to make sure that they are on track, any news on that front will be MOST appreciated, so that i can start emailng them for an update.
I am just antsy because i expected the results sooner , and i (along with the rest of humanity) hate waiting.

Great info! Thanks! As you said, emttlf is on track. I was not expecting to hear from them untill march actually, but as to the EMLE program, I know last year decisions were made really early, so I have been waiting since january. I am worried because I know EMLE is a really competitive program and I really need the scholarship.
May I ask you about your profile?
I am an attorney, about 8 years of experience, since I Have been working since I started the university. I made the distinguished honor roll of my uni, I have published some articles, I teach law at the university, 117 in the toefl, but I dont have a master degree yet.
I will just like to see how good my chances are, although i know that comparing profiles does not define anything.
Thanks!!!

i do have a financial masters and experince both in econ and law , I'll IM you my linked-in if you are curious not that i see much sense in it,
what i think matters in this case is not general legal background but rather a proven intrest in Economical Analysis of the law - and that i have in spade, Tversky makes for fine bedtime reading :).
But here are the stats - there are grosso modo 500 applicants per annum (from the acceptance letter). there are seven (7) full scholarship's and between 8-15 partial tution waivers (i did not really go into the details there, its mostly all or nothing for me).
no one country will recive more then two (2) allocations for full scholarships - which means that what matters is not how overall competative the Emle is but rather how competative it is in your country of origin - but basically unless your from the U.S / Israel that is hardly a problem.

tks a lot! I really dont think any one from my country has applied to any of the programs ever, but i believe most selected applicants already have a master degree so i have a disadvantage there.
Well, lets keep our fingers crossed! I will let you know if i hear from any of the programs.
Cheers!

just one more thing... Dint they had 12 full scholarships?
Posted Feb 21, 2011 17:57
you would be suprised - i had no idea just how many applicants they have from back home before i got contacted by the national coardinator, it was a shock not at all unpleasant but still...
but if you are right, and you are from some "exotic" jurisdiction and actually can demonstrate intrest in the EMLE other then (the scholarship looks generous) you have a more then descent chance of getting either one or both.
The cut their funding starting 2011- and its now seven for the world.
