Im an eupopean applicant.

When you google Erasmus mundus scholarship you will find out that its a normal process to conduct skype interviews with applicants. These interviews took place this week on monday between 11-12am and 5-6pm, Timezone GMT +1. The email i received stated in the subject of the email: "Your application for a EMLE grant - Skype Interview". I think everybody that received this email can confirm this.

Summing up, I think they didnt interview all 1000 applicants on monday during 2 hours ;). Regarding the GMT times and the subject of the email it should have been a proces to select european students for the Erasmus grant.

Hi, I am newcomer here. I also applied for EMLE 12/13 but did not get any information from them yet. I heard that some of you had interviews with the programme. Anyone here can advise whether: (i) interviews applied to all non-EU applicants?; (ii) if you did not receive any invitation for interviews, it means there is no chance for you to be admitted?; (iii) can we receive result for admission before mid-March? Thank you very much.
I heard you guys discussed about the interview and I am really worried as I did not receive any news. I am afraid of...

basically i think the interviews where part of the Erasmus mundus scholarship for european students as the interviews took place during the GMT +/-1 timezone. The timewindow for this interview via skype was 1h in the morning and 1h in the afternoon. They didnt interview all applicants for sure. To be honest, i think they interviewd max 20 people for the european Erasmus mundus scholarship. Anyways there are more scholarships for third country students.

When you have a look on the EMLE website, interviews are not a part of the official application process.

However, this is an european program and based on european law, all applicants need to be treated equal. Therefore, interviews cant be part of the official application process ;).

I think we will receive the rejection and admission letters this week.

Thanks so much Benjamin. I remembered from EMLE's website that it does not have interviews. So, I was worried when seeing you guys discussed about the interview.

I have results. I am admitted. My ranking number 5, but without scholarship. There are only 3 scholarships for European students. So I cant study EMLE. Do you know any other funding possibilities for EMLE? There is no chance to waiver tuition fee for European students.

I got admitted! Anyone joining me in Bologna this October? I've been allocated Hamburg and Rotterdam as well (in that order).

I am a non-European who has been admitted as well (also Bologna, Hamburg and Rotterdam, in that order :)) - but I doubt I'll be able to take this up without external funding. Would be extremely grateful for any tips on scholarships or funding. Thank you!
