I am an American looking to work for a German investment bank. I graduated top 15% of my class, was on law review and am currently clerking at an intermidate state appellate court. I only speak English and my undergrad grades are poor. Any suggestions regarding what European LLM programs I should apply to. Thank you!

Take a look at the ILF LLM in Finance. The university is locatred in Frankfurt, Germany and also requires a 2 month internship at a german financial institution. My undergrad grades aren't very impressive either but I have submitted an application. It can't hurt!

I studied law in Frankfurt but did not attend the ILF courses because I think it makes more sense for me to look for a foreign law school. Nevertheless I can recommend the ILF to every student and young professional who plans to work for a financial institution. The reputation of the ILF is very good. The German press praises it as excellent. It is part of the University of Frankfurt because this is where all the banks have their head office. The ILF closely works together with those banks. If you choose to apply - Good luck.
