Hi everybody!

It's my turn to write someting after having carefully red all your posts!
I'm Belgian, from Brussels, and also applying for IRD. My interview will take place this Thursday, 8th of April, and I'm deadly scared... I havn't the same background as most of you, I'm currently finishing a Master in Business Engineering at the ULB.
Happy to know that some of you have already had the answer for the applyimg, lucky of you! You should be so released now...

It's normal that you are a bit scared about the interview, I would be too... But it's great because you have already been preselected, here in Spain we are still waiting for the preselection news...

i just got of the phone and i'm still shaking....
i hate calling people that i don't know, and then specially for interviews.
but she was very nice, she talked to me all the time in english, mostly because my mother tongue is french i guess.
and she specially asked questions about my motivation, why i wanna join the college, why the interdisciplinary studies and not law
she asked what are my future plans
and she only asked one question referring to europe: what are the modification with the treaty of lisbonne

but anyway as most persons i have a confused impression of my interview but she said i will have an answer in two three weeks.

for those passing there interview soon, good luck, stay calm and for those waiting for an answer, i keep my fingers crossed for a positive answer!!!!

Thanks for sharing the info about your interview. It´s nice to know that they are not asking too complicated questions related to the EU.

As usual... cimpletely confused...
Answer within "a few weeks" by e-mail.

I had questions about my motivation, why did I choose IRD, my current studies, my thesis, my level in Economy, questions about the directive procedure, ...

I really don't know what to think about it but it's done! Let's move to something else until the anwer...

I read everything on this messageboard. I was terrified and nervous like all of you were...and learned last week that I got accepted to Natolin. I'm 99% sure I will be there next year so hope to see some of you there!

I'm waiting for an answer to be accepted in poland or not maybe next week....

I am an American but currently live in Germany so I'm an anomaly...I applied through the German committee and was granted a phone interview...and I was pretty upfront and said that my French is tres mauvaise and made them laugh...which I think is the reason why I got in....my grades weren't stellar and my background is pretty diverse....so yeah. Hopefully I'll see some of you at Natolin this fall! :)

Well, first of all, Congratulations for your admission emlaz!!

For me it didn´t go so well, I knew last week that I have not been pre-selected for the interview in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I was a bit surprised because I know that it is really hard to be admitted but I thought that at least I would get the chance to do the interview since I believed that my profile was pretty suited for the IRD.

Anyway, I also applied through a regional committee so in theory it is still possible to get in but in practice it is extremely difficult since they will only pick one candidate for the Bruges campus, so I guess I will give it another try next year :- )

Good luck for those that are still waiting!!! And for those that have already been admitted, enjoy the experience!!

Ive been lurking for a while, but this afternoon the Irish selection committee emailed to tell me that I got in, so thought I'd share the good news. I didnt get a scholarship though so I'm trying to decide if its worth the investment.
My heart is with anyone still waiting to hear, the waiting is the worst.
Congratulations to everyone who got in, hopefully I'll be able to rob a bank and will see you there next year!

Well, as you say, the waiting is the worst, especially when you see that many other countries have already made their decision, it seems that Italy will be the last to do that... :-(

every passage on my mailbox is quite stressfull especially that the woman who interrogated me said it would be this week or next week that i should get an answer......

I totally understand you, everytime I see "new mail" on my mailbox I hope it would be THE answer...
But I think that they'll let us know something this or next week too, since we got the interview a month ago!

Well, I had the same impression, so I don't know if it's a good or a bad sign, because I'm still waiting for the results...
Maybe it's because they make you feel comfortable and it's difficult to guess what they're thinking of you?
Anyway did they tell you when you'll have the final answer?
I think that the only thing you can do now is to wait and try to think about something else (even though it's quite impossible:-)
