i come actually from belgium, bruges....

Probably they will let you do it by phone, it makes no sense to go to Bruges if you can do it there.
It seems that they are calling for the interviews in many countries, I hope they begin soon in Spain because this is horrible...

wow, I see our thread has been receiving a lot of activity lately!:)
uhm to the guy/girl who's in russia (sorry, I don't remember your nickname!): no worries, I had a phone interview so it's definitely possible... and since you're from Bruges, it makes sense that they asked you to go there!
luxi, I have a very good feeling about your case!:) let's just wait and see!

Hi Xelwnak!
I didn´t study law. I did Politics and International Relations in an institution that offers programmes from British universities in Thessaloniki.
I´m currently living in Madrid, so you should let me know if u are finally coming to Spain so we could meet, it would be great!!

Hi guys!
Wow, I left for three days and I see now that other people have posted something, so welcome!:-)
I just wake up after a veeery long day yesterday at the Ministry. I'm going to tell you about the interview.
Well, first of all, there are many Italian applicants this year.
The interviews started yesterday morning and will continue till wednesday, my group was in the afternoon and we were twenty, plus or minus. So, if they divided us in groups of twenty, I think that there are 120 applicants for (apparently) 30-35 maximum people that can be admitted to the College...
My interview was at 18.30, they started at 14.30, so you can imagine the stress after waiting hours outside the interview's room!
Generally people who came out after the interview had the same look, relieved but at the same time confused, because the commission is quite nice, they make you feel comfortable, but you cannot really guess what their impression is.
As to the content: they ask many questions about your motivation, so be prepared to answer them (for example one of the girls who were interviewed came out and told us that the president of the commission said that he wasn't convinced at all by her motivations and that he didn't think that Bruges was the right place for her...), they also want to know about your cv and personal experiences and how they are related to the program you chose.
Then they ask you some questions about EU, but generally depending on your background and experience (for example they asked me about the CoR because my thesis dealt with federalism and regionalism).
As to my interview: I think it went pretty well, I answered to all the questions and I was able to justify my choice (fortunately they didn't tell me I wasn't convincing enough!), but the fact is that the applicants are more than I expected, so I cannot say what the final result will be. That also because they don't tell you anything about the criteria they use to choose the successfull applicants...
And they didn't tell us when we will receive the final decision neither... So I think I just have to wait and cross my fingers.
Well, this is a long post! I hope you won't fall asleep before finishing the reading! :-)
Let me know about you, did anybody else was selected for the interview?

Congratulations Babette! From what you shared with us, I am sure that your interview went just fine! So, now that the rough part is over, just relax and wait for the final answer (which I have a strong feeling that it will be positive!!)

Congrats Babette! You can be sure that we, the ones that are still waiting for the interview will not fall sleep with your long post, quite the opposite, thanks a lot for sharing the info.
I´m sure that you´ll do just fine so, as Alice say, now you just need to relax and wait. Good luck!
