Hi Xelwnak!
Well, you're right, things haven't changed a lot, I was wondering too if the others have been pre-selected. I think that you will receive an answer very soon, because from what I've heard, they usually give the final answer a month after the interview. If I remember well your interview was on the 26th of February, rght?
Have you any final advice to give me before my interview?

To Alice: I feel like I'm running out of time and still need more days to prepare! Also because I graduated last week and till that moment I was completely focused on my thesis...
I really hope that I will be able to do my best!
Where are you from?I thought you were Italian like me :-)

Alice, I am not from Italy! I am from Greece (so, we are neighbours:)))...Don't be so anxious about the interview... As xelwnax said in a previous post the interview is not as difficult as we think...So relax and do your best!

Hi there!
I have also been checking the board, waiting to see how the selection process is going in other countries since I have to wait until at least end of March to know if I´m pre-selected for the interview.
Nice to hear there are people from Greece in here. I lived in Greece for one year and I have really good memories. You guys know if there are normally many Greeks at CoE?

Alice, I am not from Italy! I am from Greece
@alice: why are you talking to yourself??:D and besides, giati den milas toso kairo re???haha!
Well, I'm glad to hear that everybody likes Greece/has been there:) To relax the Greek applicants a bit, I know that interviews are held in middle-late April. And yes, I have the impression that there are quite a few Greeks at the College... Italians as well!
@Babette: my final advice would be to not strain yourself too much with studying for the interview! All you need is to show them that you have a general idea about the EU, which derives from your interest in EU affairs. I am sure that the chances are pretty much the same whether you cover ten chapters or two of European politics! You're not going to learn everything in two weeks! Well, at least this is the way I approach interviews!:)
By the way, I'm having a very bad feeling about my results..:-S I don't know why!

Oh, I'd like to know the translation of your message to Alice!
Unfortunately I only studied ancient greek in high school :-(
Thanks Xelwnak for your your advices, you're right, I suppose they won't select people who already know everything about EU, otherwise why should we apply?
And I'm sure that you will be selected, I have a good feeling about it! ;-)

Hi everybody!!!
thank you so much for congratulating me and for the support in general!! I am crossing my fingers for you all!!
You have no idea what it was like when I opened my inbox the other day and saw an email entitled 'The College of Europe: Decision'. I practically had a mini-stroke that moment! Of course I panicked and started shouting like a mad person and then 5 minutes later the whole family was crying :P
Babbette, you'll probably read this after your interview, I wish all of the luck and inspiration you can have!:)
I've also created a facebook group for next year's IRD batch, called 'College of Europe 2010/2011 - IRD'
I'm the only member and feel a bit lonely :P
Concerning the previous posts that I neglected to respond to:
@Babette: I merely asked alice why she didn't say anything before (i.e. that she's greek..)
@alice: το κατάλαβα οτι μπερδεύτηκες, πλάκα έκανα ;)
Honestly, I am now truly wishing that Cambridge rejects my application because I don't want to have to choose between the two :-S
Good luck everybody!!! Hope to see you next year!
Keep in touch :)

I am so scared for the interview...is anyone else scared? Je parle très bien français, mais je parle l'anglais très mal. J'espère qu'ils ne me dites pas que je ne suis pas qualifiée parce que je ne parle pas la langue principale du monde! By the way, I am from Sarajevo. Is anyone else from Bosnia applying?
