Howdy folks,
I got my acceptance yesterday and plan to enroll for the upcoming academic year. Looking to make contact with future ADH classmates who would like to exchange ideas/concerns and perhaps form a facebook group for same. Also, would be great to hear from current students or alumns who can offer advice and share their experience.

Hi guys!
I will likely be enrolling in the English section, as my French is mediocre at best. How about you? One of the reasons that I wish to attend ADH is to drastically improve my French. Does anyone know if the Academie offers French classes on the side? Also, is one able to enroll in an elective class in the French section on a pass/fail basis? I would love to attend lectures in French but the exams would be a challenge...

Hey future classmates!
I got my admission too and plan to go to Geneva next year!
I would also be very pleased to get some information about accommodation and also begin know you. I will be taking the courses in English, and I think the academy offers tutorials in French.
As I am French I am enthusiastic about exchanging help with English native speakers because I am pretty sure the lectures in English wont be that easy for me aswell..

Hi all, quick question: did you receive your acceptance via email or post? thanks!
Posted Mar 26, 2012 22:00
Email.
But it said that a letter, one of the kind that comes in an envelope and gets delivered by the postman, would follow.

started to look for accomodation but looks pretty hard to find in Geneva...
For the acceptance, same as Meialonga and trishna.mk !
I haven't deposited the 500 CHF but I'll do it soon.
To all of you, I would like to know from which country you are ??

Hi everyone,
As for acceptance, I also received an email on the 21st which should be followed by a letter in the mail. Hope you get a positive response Devika, good luck.
I am Russian and live in New York.
I have no idea as far as accomodations. I have a few contacts in Geneva that I will try to reestablish and see if they lead to anything... The ADH website said something about student residence, does anyone know what thats all about? I would certainly consider a roommate(s).

Hey,
I also got my email; not sure what it means, it said i have been 'pre-selected' for a scholarship to attend the course with a name of the sponsor in the email as well (yes i applied for a scholarship and thought i would only get a response in May but i got the weird email today).

Congratulations on the pre-selection! Well I think its another step in the selection process. Probably everyone who has been shortlisted for with a scholarship now has to submit a motivation letter. Also you would probably get your admission letter only in may. However I would write to the university anyway just to be clear.
Good luck!!!!
Good luck!!!!

Hey,
Thanks for the response. I was just wondering whether i should be celebrating just yet. I was thinking of writing to the school to ask but it's Saturday and I only have been given until April 3rd to 'accept the scholarship'. That's what the most weird.
Universities are usually very clear to inform you whether you are still 'competing'. They usually put a disclaimer to say that 'this does not mean you have got the scholarship/admission... blah blah blah.
Should i blow the dust off my imaginary champagne flutes just yet???! :(

Well it does sound like you have the seat. Eitherways I would shoot off the motivation letter and clarification mail to the academy. And hope for the best!!!!
