Hi nnatiti, I am french, that's why it is easier for me to enter the country.
Shared accomodation are indeed less expensive, I saw non shared flats with rents up to 2300 CHF, but some shared apartments are also pretty expensive.
The good alternative are the student housings but I contacted a lot of them and they are either full either they answer that they maybe will have a few rooms left from june but it's not sure... So got to be quick !

Hi I got my useful information letter today as well. I have not had any luck finding a room or stay so I am also willing to share a flat if someone finds one. I also received my receipt from the academy for the payment of 500 CHF.
Really worried about accomodation. Everything is very expensive

Hi all,
Sorry, I'm a bit late to join the forum, but wanted to make sure I got in first! I am very excited about the next year!
I also thought perhaps we could start a facebook page so people could join, I think maybe people might not know about this website, but might search a facebook page. I am no good with that stuff though, so if someone else wants to do it, that would be awesome!
I am also looking for a place to stay, but have just started looking, so all you're information has been really helpful, thanks! If I come up with anything new, I will be sure to post.

Hi all,
@ llmquest, congrats' for your acceptance !!
@ everyone:
I indeed found accomodation in geneva but I am looking for it since a month...
For the tipps i'd just say that it is usefull to spend a lot of time on the internet searching for offers.
As to the adresses the academy gives in the information letter, i sent some e-mails and Centre Universitaire Protestant 2 and Résidence Universitaire Internationale told me they have no room,
Centre Universitaire Protestant 1 and Centre Saint-Boniface told me they answer in june but with no guarantee they'll have room,
for now the Cité Universitaire de Genève doesn't seem to be available to us,
Residence le Voltaire and Village-Suisse are apparently only for students not in a university, so not us,
and La Cigue doesn't accept requests per mail they only accept to meet people in person (which is difficult for most of us),
and i didn't ask the places for women only because i am a man !
So as you see the choice is pretty narrow...
I found my accomodation on glocals.com on which i really advise to suscribe (there are lots of offers in "the confidentials").

and beware of the websites such as colocation.com in which you have to pay to see the mail address or the phone of the offeror, it looked like fake offers to me...

Hi!
I'm from India and am still waiting for some news about the scholarship results. I figured I didn't need to worry since the timeline says we will be informed by the end of May, but I must confess to being a little scared now if people have gotten their results. Is anyone who got pre selected still waiting for confirmation?
Also, does anyone know what are the chances of people who get pre selected still not getting final approval? Because their email sounded like it was a formality, and like someone above mentioned, just asked to confirm whether we will be accepting the scholarship and that we would be accordingly informed with official approval. What are the chances of the external donors rejection the application?

Hi . I am also from india. Where are you from? I did not apply for the scholarhship so I got my confirmation in march. I recently received a list of all the students. So if you were pre selected and have not heard back regarding your scholarship I suggest you write to ADH immediately.
