Hi, I'm currently considering applying for an LLM degree at the University of London via distance learning. I would like to do a Masters in Law, with specialization in international law, specifically this program: http://www.londoninternational.ac.uk/llm. I do not need a LLB to get in, just a honours undegrad.
What would such a LLM degree, from the UK give me in Canada? What could I work as in Canada (or possibly abroad)?
If anyone has done this program or would know what specifically I could do with it especially in Canada, with that specialization, I would truly appreciate some advice! Thanks

I would think that a better strategy would be do do your LLM in Canada, no? I believe that if you do masters-level study in Canada, you can get a temporary post-study work visa, which allows you to stay for a certain amount of time (I think it's a year or two, but you should check for yourself.)
Unfortunately, even so it seems exceedingly difficult for somebody who hasn't done their LLB in Canada to get hired by a law firm. Have a read through this thread, it seems quite dire:
