Dear Friends,

I am a landed immigrant with rich background in public international law. I would like to know your views on the prospects of working in this field in Canada. Until now, I have realized that there is not much to do in this sphere in Canada since there are not many international organizations located in this country.
Many people suggested me to study again, but this time at a Canadian law school in order to have some opportunities in the field of law.
Frankly saying, I have been told that I do not even qualify for a position of a legal assistant with my foreign degrees in law. I have studied in Europe for my LLM and obtained experience in several international organizations.
At many places I applied so far people say "wow" looking at my CV, but unfornuately they do not go beyond that "wow"

I would be very happy if you could also elaborate on the National Accreditation Committee's procedure to qualify foreign lawyers to practice in Canada.

its indeed pleasure and sad to know that you hv done llm in public international law and not getting any jobs.Iam llb graduate from India and practicing in Delhi's high court have around 2years of experience ,iam interested in doing public international law from UK but to everybodu's dismay i hv around 52% in my llb could you guide me do i stand any chance of getting admission in UK,if yes then what all i should stree upon. Hi I'm did my bachelors in law (LLB) in the university of Buea, Cameroon. I'm interested in doing an LLM in corporate law and finance in a good university in Canada so dont know which one is most appropriate and also I want to find out what are my chances of me getting a university to do that LLM since I graduated with a 2.45 GPA. Thank u very much but I'll like to know the type of exams u need to undertake cuz I know if u want to do a JD u have to write the LSAT exam but now I dont know which exam I have to undertake since I want to want to to go in for an LLM program.
