What are the admitted students(NYU@NUS) planning to do about the Housing in SIngapore? I know that Evans is the option....but I plan to look for an apartment (to be shared) somewhere closer to the NUS-Bukit timah campus.

Hi there! I'm planning on doing the same (rent a room close to campus) because I don't feel very comfortable with Evans Lodge. I know its close to Bukit Timah Campus, but they are too strict. I've been looking at www.easyroommates.com (Singapore) and I plan on arriving a week before classes start, so I can adjust to the time zone and look for apartments. I hope to hear other people's suggestions.

Hey Gang. I'm from Canada, currently working in international legal development in South Africa. I have been trying to scope out the housing situation. I've decided to rent at Evans Lodge for the first month until I find alternate accommodations. FYI take a look at the rules and regulations at Evans Lodge, especially with respect to the curfew and the 'no visitors' rule. I'd be interested in perhaps sharing an apartment near the law school. If you have any specific ideas on housing, I'd love to hear them. Looking forward to meeting you all soon. Cheers.

Hey guys, I am from Uzbekistan. I am a lawyer in Tashkent and take part in OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Missions from time to time. I am also interested in sharing an apartment near the law school. But I have been told that Bukit Timah is rich mans are and real estate is quite expensive over there. I was suggested to to live away from Bukit Timah and commute to school or to choose Evans. But regulations there do not look promising. Any other ideas?
