Got my acceptance to the General LLM. Any idea about the fee structure?
The website says - S$36,050 without MOE subsidy and S$29,950 for foreign student with subsidized fees.
So anyone has any idea about which one would apply? Some help please :-)

Hello and Congratulations on acceptance.
I think the MOE Subsidized fee applies for us i.e. SGD 29950.

What is the criteria for the subsidized fee?

Read the 'Notes' given below the fee tables here:

Can any one tell me about job prospects after LLM in Singapore? Esp after LLM in corporate and financial law

I've read up the fees section on the NUS website, but am still not clear about which fees would apply to the General LLM students.
Does anybody have a definite answer on this? It's all so confusing! :-(

Hey.. the fees structure applicable for all of us is the subsidized fee one which is SGD 29,950 for foreign students.
The higher fees structure will be applicable for the students who have previously enjoyed a government subsidy or sponsorship awarded by any Singapore Government agency for any graduate programmes.
So unless you have completed any other graduate programme in Singapore previously with the aid of any subsidy or scholarship from Singapore Government, you will fall under the foreign students category and will have to pay SGD 29,950.
Hope this resolves your query. :)

Hi guys got mail for admission to LLM general in NUS Singapore. Please guide what are the job prospects after this course? Are there chances of getting job in Singapore after this

Congratulations to everyone on their acceptance. :)
Anyone here who got accepted for IBL programme?
I sure would like some company.
To reply to the post above, as per my discussions with the alumni, jobs don't come by easily. However, if you do the course as it is meant to be done and put effort into networking and internship, no good reason why you can't get through. Need a bit of luck too. :)

Hey gr108 congrats on your acceptance. The course alumni I saw online are all employed in respectable firms. But jobs are really hard to come by whichever course it may be. That shouldn't be a surprise.
And in reply to mayankdeep11, I chose IBL because of the course description. I want to pursue cross border transactions. Plus, the course is relatively cheap compared to the other places which offer IBL. And about funding, you can apply for an education loan with the acceptance letter.

hi everybody thanks mayank for the perspective any news on previous ibl students placements pl remember hostel applications open on 6th may(pl confirm)

Hey gr108, I don't think the course estimate is as high as 20L. One of the alumni I connected with got employment in Singapore however, he had to return to India due to personal reasons. He is currently working at L&T. For more details as to the employment of alumni check this link. http://www.nusiblalumni.com/
I am still trying to figure accommodation. The application form from NUS and Student Pass will come late May. There are many hostels which are affiliated to NUS. The list is available on the internet. There are private hostels near the campus. If the Uni one is what you are aiming for, travel is made easy by regular shuttles. Hope this is helpful. :)

I would also like to add that I just received a mail from NUS with the Hostel Application form attached. I am guessing everyone got that. NUS has also attached the list of the private hostels I was talking about. :)
