Hi!
I have applied to the LL.M Program at NUS and awaiting their reply.
Waiting since a very long time. I hope the wait turns out to be fruitful.

Which ones have you guys applied for?
Posted Apr 07, 2014 12:47
I have applied for the LL.M coursework in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. What about you?
I have also got offers for admission from a couple of US Universities. However, the amount of scholarship is too meager compared to the tuition fees.
NUS seems better that way.

Mee too :)
Yes, in that sense NUS is a great option.
I am just hoping to hear something positive from them soon!

Although I am worried of the job prospects post-LL.M at NUS.
Any idea about that?

I had applied for LL.M. Course work programme in Corporate and Financial Services Law.
And about the job options, as per my research I guess there will be many opportunities that we can explore while we are studying there including working as part time research associates. It can help to a certain extent in building a network.
There is a section on careers @NUSLaw at NUS Website which mentions teacher research fellowships that we can apply for after finishing the course. And Singapore is a hub for Corporate Offices and law firms. We can always apply for jobs there post completion of the course.
Don't worry. A degree from NUS will help you a great deal where ever you want to pursue your career.

True that.
In the email that I received 20 minutes ago, they said this to me:
"Kindly note that applicants will be informed of the outcome from this week onwards. Please be assured that we noted your email and will expedite on keeping you informed of the application outcome."
So the results are just around the corner! Fingers crossed and good luck to you all! :)

As far as I know they send the acceptance mails in batches and as the previous years' trend suggests Corporate and Financial Services's applicants are the first ones to get the results and probably that is why I got the acceptance mail today.
I am sure you guys would receive it in the coming days based on the specialization you have applied for.

In my offer letter its stated that if you don't hear in one week, consider you dint get scholarship. I think its a general line in all offer letters. But clarify me on this if anyone knows about it
Posted Apr 07, 2014 18:35
I haven't yet received any word regarding scholarship.
Although the offer letter does state that if one qualifies for a scholarship he/she would receive a communication within one week of receiving the acceptance letter.

Assuming i applied for LLM in CFL, and i don't receive my offer today. What it means?
Posted Apr 07, 2014 18:45
Going by last years' trends they generally send out acceptances in batches. Since they have started rolling out results probably today, it may take few days for all the batches to get their results.

Until when do you guys have time to confirm your seat? Any non refundable deposit is to be made or something?
