@amprapalli: thanks for ur response. I have personally seen KR and its a lovely place to stay at. That explains the high demand. About the 2nd email, I received their formal offer yesterday afternoon. I think u xan expect urs soon too coz the accomodation application period is beteween 11th and 24th only. So I'm sure they'd expedite sending out the confirmed offers @ d earliest. Have you figured out ur accomodation; I mean what r u planning to apply for?

@Amprapali: actually, I was also planning to live off campus. I wanted a place where cooking was permitted. But din find a roommate. U know what, can we exchange email ids. I researched majorly for rental accomodation. We can discuss things in detail.

@Amrapalli: Just to clarify, are the non-subsidized rates reflected as per the link below applicable to Grad students??
http://www.nus.edu.sg/osa/housing/graduate/rates.html

Also are these the only accomodations options we have?

@ayesha: The subsidized fees are meant only for those students who are eligible as per the Ministry of Education of Singapore's guidelines for the same. Do take a look at this link:

Received the second mail today. Also, applied for NUS accommodation, but they state Kent Ridge may not be convenient to access law school campus. Still confused about accommodation. Any idea if it could be possible to leave hostel accommoation in between.

@ abhi_D

No, if you sign up for one semester for accommodation, it's compulsory to pay for the entire semester.
