yes i have been admitted .

yet i've got still a doubt in my mind: what are the effective vantages of getting a LLM @ NUS? Now that I was thinking seriously about it , I was starting to get a little bit skeptical..
I mean, I am Italian, if I go to NUS and take the LLM in Asian Legal Studies would I be able to use it later for something? Will it make me able to pursue some kind of career in Singapore or anyway in Asia?

anyone already had this experience ? could please report what happened to them after a NUS LLM?

thank you.

NUS is fantastic and well-recognized in the region. If working in Asia is an option, I wouldn't stop to even think of accepting NUS, although it would depend on how recognized your specialization was - haven't looked into Asian Legal Studies. Even if you want to work in Australia, Europe or Asia, NUS is renowned, so you wouldn't be taking a risk with NUS. In fact the course structure of NUS for my specialization is more intensive than the same in the UK or the US. Allegedly, sometimes you are offered PR on completion of your studies as an incentive to work in Singapore, given that you find a job.

I got my offer on the 22nd, but they are supposed to give offers right up until first/second week april. I actually emailed the law school to ask if they had made a decision, around mid-March as I had to reply to other offers. They are really nice and don't take too long to reply.

Hey, I just received my admission offer this morning for the LLM in international business law. NUS has a great reputation worldwide and it's an amazing opportunity to be able to live and study in two major asian hubs.

Hi, I am a law graduate from India and am really keen on doing my LLM in corporate law. However last year I could only apply to NUS, Singapore due to some issues.
I got the offer letter from NUS yesterday for admission into its Corporate & Financial Services Law for the 2011-2012 sem. Now I am in a dilemma. Should I or should I not accept this offer. Since I haven't yet applied to any other institutes like LSE, Kings etc I am wondering if it would n't be a better idea to apply to these institutions this year and then decide accordingly.
However NUS I guess is a good university yet I really dont know much about it. Pleaseeeeeeeeeee help me make up my mind! Can anybody please tell me if it is a good idea to accept the NUS offer or wait till next year??

Hi everyone, even I have got offer from NUS for two LLM programmes Corporate & Financial Services Law & IBL. If I accept this offer from NUS I will take the Corporate LLM. However I would still like to know which one is better IBL or Corporate & Financial Law? Please let me know. The information would help me make up my mind.

There´s no better programme, they are offered by the same institution. It depends on your interests and aims. To my mind, being able to study in two Asian economic hubs it´s the most valuable feature of the IBL programme, and priceless. I wouldn´t hesitate to choose the IBL : )

@amrapalli You are very welcome :) I hope you take the best decision. And who knows, we might be classmates in a few months hehe

@aishwarya kumar As far as I know the IBL programme starts in July, whilst the NYU@NUS starts in May. Which one are you taking?
