Dear all!
Does anyone know whether I can enter Singapore with one-way ticket? I have heard that there is kind of a rule that you have to have return ticket, is it correct?
Thanks in advance!

hi, so far my knowledge goes this rule is applicable for those travelling on tourist or business visas. However, you may do a double check on their immigration website and please let us know if you come accross anything different.

It should not be a problem to enter without confirmed flight out of Singapore since you will be able to produce documents confirming that you are going to study at NUS.
In any case, if one of you has any questions or problems, please feel free to contact me, I am from the last batch of IBL and will be back in Singapore from next week onwards.
Best

Thanks Richa! Was looking for some feedback on this issue. Can you please provide details of the booking procedure and the approx. room rates of SIC. Their website doesn't really have any info on these things. Thanks again!

Acc to my information, it doesnt mention about dress code so far, however I read the guideline for international students of which said that loose and light summer clothing is recommended especially for outdoor activities, note that in lecture theatres, libraries and administrative offices, you should be appropriately attired. Improper attire includes shorts, slippers and clothing with indecent words or pictures.
Heey guys, when are you planning to arrive Singapore?

Has anyone emailed to NUS recently asking about the receipt of IPA? if yes, what have they said... I was thinking I'll mail to them, but I guess if ppl have already emailed, there is no point in another mail with the same question, since their reply will be the same.

If it is taking this long for you people I wonder how much time it would take for mine. I only applied this Friday. But I have a feeling that ICA might not have processed it before the time limit it stated: maximum 2 months before the course starts and minimum 1 month. Usually they are quite prompt in issuing the IPA. When I applied for my Dependent's Pass, I remember them being very efficient.

hi, I had called up NUS a few days back regarding this along with few other issues. I was told that we would be receiving our IPA's in around mid June. So I guess starting from tomorrow we may expect to receive our IPA's throughout the week. I also went through last year's blog and it appears that they had also received it around the same time.
