Hi smallfield,
Right now i am a bit confused myself. Even i couldn't find the 'online form' anywhere, but i think the online form will be available only after June 29.
By the way, are you doing CFS or some other specialization?

I will also specialize in CFS. I look forward to seeing you.
By the way, when will you all arrive in Singapore?
The email from NUS Law on Saturday says we have to arrive in Singapore at least one week before July 9 because of prevention against H1N1 influenza.
I would like to do so, but I have to consult with my company and buy an air ticket again.
It would be a difficult arrangement. The email is very short notice.
I assume it is very difficult to many international student.

I already informed NUS my date of arrival, it's for July 1st so I will be ready for the 9th.
The only concern is what we do with our housing arraignments, will they monitor us in there or do we have to go to another place?

To All Prospective Students
The email on the Influenza A (H1N1) precautions have so far been sent ONLY to students who are arriving earlier in July (i.e. for those who need to take introductory common law courses and/or Intensive English).
For students arriving to register in August, we will have to monitor the situation to see how the pandemic situation evolves. Please continue to check your email accounts on a regular basis.

Hi Melda,
Congrats!!
Even i received my IPA letter yesterday. Now, just need to arrange for my stay. Gosh...that seems to be an herculean task considering that i haven't got a clue about the places/hostels which are good and cheap!!!
If there are any suggestions please, do let me know.
Thanks.

Well, congrat to everyone. I'm already here, and let me tell you that this is a beautiful city, and the NUS building at Bukit Timah is also like that.
If somebody else has arrived should agree with me on that.

Hello,
has anybody paid the fee for LL.M? Do we need to pay in Singapore to the bank account or is it possible to pay directly to NUS, is it possible to pay by credit card? Anybody of you has any information?
thanks in advance!

Dear Dr Tan:
I am a lawyer from the Philippines. I intend to apply for the scholarship for those from the SEA countries. I am also interested in the NYU-NUS program. Is it possible to submit one set of documents for these two applications?

Hi APG,
Mr. Tan had replied with respect to the payment of the fees sometime back. This should help you.....
"Your fees will only become due after you arrive in Singapore and register for our programmes. In the next few weeks, we will provide specific information on transferring the relevant amounts by bank draft into NUS's bank account.
The details will differ depending on the exact LLM specializations (as the different programmes have different fee structures). For now, you do not have to send any amounts yet. Of course, if you are obtaining a bank loan, you may want to get the amounts credited to your accounts first. If the bank insists on making payment direct to NUS, please wait for our account instructions.

Hi, let me tell you about my current experience.
I write NUS, and they wrote me saying that the payment has to be by bank draft (not transfer). Son now that I'm in the country, I talk to my home and they told me that the operation was kind of difficult, because of all the requirements to be met.
Tried to buy one in here, but the bank requested me to open an account there, to be able to purchase a bank draft.
Thankfully I know someone here who has an account in a bank with a branch in Singapore, so that person can buy the draft in the bank and I only have to repay afterward.
Hope that my experience helps somehow.
