Boston University School of Law (BU Law) is one of America’s most distinguished law schools. The core of the BU Law learning experience is superior teaching and a supportive, dynamic learning environment in which teachers guide, inspire and challenge. The school’s roughly 250 LLM students bring an astounding mix of backgrounds and interests to campus. In any given year, they come from over 40 law schools throughout the United States and from more than 35 countries worldwide. BU Law offers foreign-trained and domestic lawyers five leading LL.M. programs: LLM in American Law for foreign lawyers, LLM in Banking and Financial Law, LLM in Intellectual Property Law, LLM in International Business Law (Executive LLM), and LLM in Taxation.
The Boston College Law School LLM Program combines rigorous education by renowned faculty at a top U.S. university with individualized attention in a friendly and supportive environment. Through personalized guidance and mentoring, our program provides the critical comprehensive skills needed to succeed as a lawyer and as a leader. LLM students take regular JD courses alongside JD students. You can also specialize your studies by pursuing a concentration in one of five areas: business & commercial, environmental, human rights, intellectual property, or taxation.

As the oldest graduate school of international affairs in the United States, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy is distinctive for its collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach. Fletcher’s flexible curriculum, distinguished faculty, and accomplished community of students and alumni provide a thorough preparation to meet global challenges that transcend borders, disciplines, and sectors. The international law faculty organizes a continuing "High Table" colloquium for LL.M. students. Taught by a distinguished international law faculty with extensive real-world experience, the program addresses the historical, political, cultural, and economic framework within which contemporary international lawyers operate.
