Of course I don't agree with his statement, since: a) I know at least 2 other Brazillian candidates with similar credentials and b) it is impossible for us to know each and every applicant from our country. Is it likely that a student, after graduating him(her)self on the 1st class of a juvenile non-traditional (at least in the Law field) school by aug 08' (isn't it 5ys in Br??) manages to cope with the strict application process and show im(her)self a respectable candidate for YLS after 2 months upon graduation????

Well, the chances of getting into YLS are now over for me and other Brazilians, but I felt from the very beginning that I wasn't the kind of ultra-academic neeeeeeeeeerd (sorry, 2009 hehehe) that they were looking for ;-)

Thanks for asking! Sure, but not necessarily the kind of '100% academic nerd' that Yale seems to select hehe... the vast majority of our graduates show a balanced mix of pragmatical approach, leadership skills, political awareness, public service commitment and, of course, academic excellence.

I was just joking with my friend 2009... she has all the traits i mentioned above.
