Hahah... this guy/girl whose nickname is "Kobaiashi09" is a genius! kkkk... Best joke ever.

BTW, NO, I am not him. Also, I am not 2009, nor she is her own husbund (kobayashi08). Furthermore, I am not the italian guy (trickster or sth like that) who started the Yale posts. What kind of idiot would lose such precious time creating multiple personalities and posting bogus threads???

I have already proved beyond a doubt that I was admitted to NYU, posting an excerpt of my adm. letter... And I really don't care if some envious ppl. just can't deal with the success of others ahahah!

Conclusion: Destiny09 is completely crazy and frustrated. A loser conspirator...

Hi Franziscaner. I have the following doubt: You said that you know "2009", right? 2009 said that she was Kobayashi_08 wife, and Kobayashi_08 said in another thread that you were accpted at Yale.

So your friend's husband is lying about your acceptance?

No, you didn't get it, pal.

Her husband simply said, ipsis litteris, that "my guess for the other Brazilian would be Franciscan, as they usually admit two from Brazil and, honestly, he is the best candidate I know there."

This is because we know each other's profile and experience.

Of course I don't agree with his statement, since: a) I know at least 2 other Brazillian candidates with similar credentials and b) it is impossible for us to know each and every applicant from our country. Maybe someone from Rio, Paraná, Brasília, Rio Grande do Sul, Pernambuco etc. or even Pará (such as her: http://adsa.stanford.edu/JSMLLMalumni.htm#Brito ) may take our spots...

So, to clarify: I wasn't admitted to Yale (yet, I hope!).
2009 was.

Actually, the other Brazilian is from Rio (Getulio Vargas Foundation). Just got the information with some friends from there.

Do you know about other people from South America?

And might I ask you (just for curiosity) if in Yale or other top schools is common that students know who has been admitted, do they participate in some way or another in decisions?
Thnks.

Fuckn' 'Carioca'.... :-(

Is the "quota" for Brazilians over? I can feel the rejection letter coming via Correios ;-)

Well, some you win, some you lose...!

Hopefully, I will have many opportunities to stop by to visit you in NH when travelling from Cambridge to NY or vice-versa rsrsrs...

Well well, seems like there's also a kind of psychological WARFARE been handled here....

I dont wanna look like a 'freak nerd', but needed to check this kobayashi 08' info in order to finally know whether this thread could be useful or it was another waste....

Of what I could grasp from my gross portuguese it seems like the college mentioned wasn't an authorized to offer a baccalaureate in Law until august 2003!! Please correct me the Brazilians If I'm mistaken:

http://www.direitorio.fgv.br/admin/pub_images/arquivos/DIREITORIO_PORTARIA_05082003.pdf

Is it likely that a student, after graduating him(her)self on the 1st class of a juvenile non-traditional (at least in the Law field) school by aug 08' (isn't it 5ys in Br??) manages to cope with the strict application process and show im(her)self a respectable candidate for YLS after 2 months upon graduation????

I think I got a point here, and I swear I just want to clarify If It's still worthy to follow this thread....sorry If I've been tooooo far....

I am also sick and tired of this ... It seems that this blog cannot be trusted ... Why are people trying to mess with us like this.
It is very sad and pathetic ..

Well, nobody knows if he is a FGV student/graduate. Perhaps the lucky carioca has another kind of relationship with the institution... vai saber...

Well, the chances of getting into YLS are now over for me and other Brazilians, but I felt from the very beginning that I wasn't the kind of ultra-academic neeeeeeeeeerd (sorry, 2009 hehehe) that they were looking for ;-)

To be accepted in USP you don`t need to be a nerd?

Thanks for asking! Sure, but not necessarily the kind of '100% academic nerd' that Yale seems to select hehe... the vast majority of our graduates show a balanced mix of pragmatical approach, leadership skills, political awareness, public service commitment and, of course, academic excellence.

I was just joking with my friend 2009... she has all the traits i mentioned above.
