If this is true, it means Yale has been making phone calls over two to three days, which is very unusual. After all, it's only 20 phone calls, should not take so much time.

Yale sends out paper rejection letter... signed by the dean (or associate dean, I forgot) Last time I applied my mom was so happy when she saw the mail from Yale in our mailbox - must be good news right? Poor her...

Hey buddy, as I understand, we will only receive a definite rejection through a letter by post. The admissions office does not email acceptances or rejections. Everyone here (barring the lucky ones who got called) has surmised they're rejected since Yale has been calling since Monday last, and there are only 25-27 slots. If you haven't been called yet (as is the case with me), chances are that you haven't made it. Sorry :-(
