I read in a different post that wating list decisions in Harvard are expected in the middle of May/beginning of June. Is it the same for Berkeley?
In the letter in which Berkeley confirmed the receipt of the complete application it is stated that they will notify of the decision at the latest by the end of April. Do u believe it is a trustworthy statement, taking into account the waiting list issue?
In general, any info on what is going on at Berkeley?
Thanx 4 any enlightment...

Hello!
Some waiting lists letters were received yesterday by e-mail. I received WL from Berkeley and UPenn (same day).
Hope it helps. W

I got an acceptance from Berkeley two days ago by e-mail. They gave me two weeks to decide.

Hi guys,
Think Berkeley is ssending out more offers because the deadline for the last batch of acceptance has/is elapsing. I got my offer mid-march but, debating between Berkeley and Cambridge. Still waiting for Columbia. Any ideas, i am interested in international law?
Thanks

I didnt get acceptance, I didnt get rejection, I didnt get waiting list letters. I got nothing 'till now, apart from the receipt that my application got complete and to wait at the latest 'till the end of April.
I cant really figure out what to think about. Any idea? Anyone else in the same situation?
I have to accept Duke offer, the only other program where I applied, within the end of April. Even though I could get an extension, may main concer regards the deadline for accomodation on campus. Internationals get a priority if they apply within 1 May, after that date application has scarce odds, I guess, to lead to a positive outcome.
Any advice would be highly appreciated.
Thanx

My guess is that Berkeley wants you more than those individuals on the waiting list, but less than those with offers. So, in other words, you may be at the top (so-to-speak) of the waiting list. I feel like once they put you on the waiting list, you would have to go below the others on the waiting list, but this is just a guess.
