has anyone who has paid the initial deposit received a scholarship offer today? alternatively, has anyone of those who declined the admission offer initially been offered a scholarship afterwards (perhaps today)? thanks for sharing

Feeling worried. When are the wait listed decisions coming. Everything is on hold until then :(
Posted Apr 08, 2015 16:44
I did mail them about the same and got a response that they will turn to the waitlisted candidates starting this week!
Posted Apr 08, 2015 17:03
Did your status disappeared after you were waitlisted? or is it because a new decision is going to be made?
Posted Apr 08, 2015 18:47
I made the first deposit at Georgetown, but I confess that UPenn is something that might make me reconsider things. I hope they release those decisions soon enough.

Hey!
I guess we are in the same situation then.
I did the same- paid the depsit for Georgetown and waitlisted at UPenn. Hope to get a positive response from U Penn.

Same here! unless got admitted by Upenn from its waitlist, I will go to georgetown.
but do you favor upenn over gt for sure? if I do not study corporate law, but human rights/civil rights/ equality, should I still consider upenn for its higher ranking than gt?
thank you for all the sharing here. and good luck to all of you!

@ prejudicecuo : Of course UPenn is an Ivy league and is among the top 10 in the general ranking but when it comes to working opportunities, DC offers more possibilities for my specialty (IBEL). On the other hand , Pennsylvania is near DC.
Regarding human law, I am not sure. I have heard that Columbia, NYU and Harvard have strong programs. I know Georgetown offers one, but I don't know how strong it is.
@ ladylawyerMJ and prejudicecuo : We are discussing many things at the topic "Georgetown - Housing, Health plan, tuition" in case you are interested.

thank you so much for your opinion @Joy Hopeful. I understand that DC offers more opportunities and UPenn is not that far away from DC, but when i am studying for LLM in Pen, i am not sure if I can work part time in DC at the same time [which i believe is unlikely?]
I would love to go to the three schools you have mentioned, but unfortunately, I was rejected by NYU and I did not apply to Harvard or Columbia. (TAT)
I will definitely check the post! thx for the info!

You can't work part-time at all while studying. Unless you applied for the part-time LLM (does it even exist in UPenn?).

Actually, you can if it is a non-paid externship. Georgetown and Columbia offer this oportunity. I don't know about UPenn.
