How many do you reckon get in from the wait list?

I saw from previous posts , it does not seem a lot. And I recall some student saying it depends on who rejects their offer from your same region.
So if someone from your same country rejects because of another offer or financial reasons , then you get their spot.

Has anyone who has been accepted planning on turning down their offer?

I know myself how tempting it is to keep your spot until the deadline but we are many people on the wait list who are eager to know if we will be admitted or not. This all depends on how quick the already admitted students turn down their offers.

I have declined all of my offers (Berkeley, Columbia, UPenn and NYU) as I have been offered an international posting with my current employer. All the best to everyone, I will have to re-apply in 2 years time.

I am waitlisted as well and I will most likely withdraw my application tomorrow. Good luck for everyone!

Does anybody has an idea of how many persons were waitlisted? I wonder how many chances do we really have of ending up with an admission...
