I read in a post that people have applied to the Wharton program even in August and got in. I'm sorry I couldn't find it swiftly enough to link it.
True...Wharton will still be there when we arrive to Philly...

I applied right now. Were I to get lucky with some other school, Wharton would be a factor.

I applied last night, it worked fine and I received an email confirmation of my payment.
I'm sorry we can't help you. It looks like you have to contact them directly.

Sorry, cant help about payment issue. I hope it works soon.
But!
How are we supposed to answer UPenn by April 1 when we never had the package they were talking about?
I'm so confused about making a choice!

thanks Borderline!
I wanted to know if it could be an isolated problem..
I've just called them and they said the web might be having problems. Strange thing that it is working randomly :S
They said I should try again later. Finger crossed on technology now..

I called home, nothing. Do you know if they send it by courier?

I received admission email on January 14th (applied early action).
However I still haven't received any package from Penn which is said to be sent during March...
For those already accepted and that haven't received the package, have u already paid the $500 and sent the complete form??
Thanks.

No package here either. I wonder if they would send it only after they received the form of the April 1st deadline - which would be a bit lame.

what happens if we pay the 500 bucks and then decide to attend a different university... I am still waiting to hear back from Columbia, Harvard and Stanford but would pay the 500 bucks sometime next week.... obviously the amount is not refundable, but are we obliged to attend Penn then or can we still turn down the offer afterwards?
All the best and God bless
RH

Hey RH,
I'm pretty sure you can ask for your offer to be withdrawn after April 1st however as you well noted the amount is not refundable. I'm thinking though, why don't you weight it out a bit until perhaps Harvard has released its offers? It could save you the $500..

Has anyone besides Freckles heard anything about UPenn scholarships?

Congrats 1A! So we already know of 3 Dean's Scholarships that have been given out by Penn, that is good news! I still think the cycle is not over though for those still waiting. I spoke with the admissions office yesterday and they said that things are crazy at the moment over there so this sort of implies to me that there might still be considerations going on!

I have, yes. With the deadline they set it wasn't easy not to :)

I recieved the standard response from Penn on financial aid back in January. I just sent a follow up email this evening and got this response -
"we are sending out the packets this week! Sorry for the delay. ...As for financial aid, we have sent out our initial grants and are waiting to hear back from those contacted. I should know more next week. If any funds become available, I will certainly let you know."

Ook. Is there someone here that maybe did not accept a scholarship (e.g. because they got in somewhere else with a better one), and therefore, there would be still some hope left for us?
