UC Berkeley executive track llm & georgetown law center llm, which one is better?

yu xia

I received offers from two t14 schools mentioned above, with ucb giving me a $10,000 scholarship. Both schools are excellent schools in law. I am a recently graduated Chinese student who plans to go back to China to work. ucb is more famous in my country and has a higher international ranking. However, some people in China don't like the program and they complain on the internet about the high acceptance rate of the executive track, which is a money-grubbing program (but it's the same degree, so why would they despise it?) And Georgetown's program is good, it gives me a full year of experience and I can apply for opt, have more time for internship, and take the New York bar exam, but this school is not famous enough in China and is not ranked high enough. Can anyone give some advice on this.

Just as a side note, it's worth noting that the reputation of a specific program within a school may differ from the overall reputation of the institution.

Considering your goal to work in China, UCB's higher international ranking and fame in your country can be advantageous. Don't let complaints about the executive track deter you if the program aligns with your goals. Georgetown offers practical benefits on the other hand. I'd say, prioritise either reputation in China (UCB) or practical experience/international opportunities (Georgetown). Seek insights from current students or alumni to make an informed decision.
