The Thomas Cooley program for the online LLM in IP requires 6 live credits for completion. Does anyone know if they can be taken without relocating? Could I just travel and take 2 or 3 credits in a week and return next semester for 2 or 3 more credits until I complete the six? Thanks!

I received my J.D. from Cooley and their programs allow flexibility, but not as much as you would like. For a 3 credit course, we spent one, 3 hour session per week in the classroom. You can receive a degree by just attending class on the weekends or in the evening, but over a 15 week semester, you would be required to attend that one 3 credit class at least 12 of the 14 weeks (exclusive of exams week) or you are withdrawn by the school for lack of attendance.

I would call and speak with an admission's counselor regarding the LLM program, because we do have three campuses and Cooley is very friendly to working professionals. I knew many fellow students that commuted (even flew in on weekends) to get their degrees.
