I have thought about that. Has anybody got any idea about what it means? what are you supposed to write? do you even have to answer that? is it positive/negative/neutral to state your universities?

Hey! I can't describe to u how confusing this question has been! But at the end of it I just chose to be honest.. ofcourse, they will know u are applying to other law schools. So might as well tell them you are applying to 'so and so' other universities.
If not for all the places you're applying to, naming 1 or 2 should do. But we should be careful in naming the schools too.
What did u answer?

I usually answered 2 or 3 places which are pretty similar and on the same level as the university I applied to. I heard rumors about the fact that if you name universities at this question, it's an automatic reject. I believe the rumor is not true, so I just wanted other people opinions.

Really? I don't see the logic behind it!
I mean.. think about it. If you were on the review committee and u read that the applicant is ONLY pplying to this school, would u believe it? I definitely would not. That's why.. truth is always the best.

I don't think this is a trick question so to speak...I am inclined to believe that law school admissions committees are above such gimmicks. Most people apply to more than one school and I would think everyone knows that...at least I just decided to answer this question truthfully and it certainly hasn't caused me any problems :)

I answered truthfully as well. I think LSAC even sends out some kind of information regarding the schools the applicant has applied to or at least the schools that the applicant has paid the deposit for. So no point lying there. Although I am really confused about the necessity of such question...
