hi, i am planning to apply to NYU and Georgetown, but I was surprised to see U Miami very well ranked (No. 5 or 6) in LLM Taxation Programmes...I was hoping for anyone to give me its impressions on this Law School (is it prestigious in the USA??)
Thanks!

Dear Tax Law Applicants,
Admittedly,NYU Tax LL.M is ranked number one in the U.S,if you are admitted grab it immediately. However, Boston University School of Law offers a very good tax LL.M program,it came into inception in 1959, the second in the nation after NYU. Although i still dont understand why it is ranked 5th in the nation behind NW, i believe it ought to be ranked 4th.
The program in BU is intellectually stimulating,it offers practical approach to tax law issues, the faculty is comprised of seasoned professors and practicing attorneys who are leaders in the tax field. Furthermore, if you are a foreigner and want to focus on international taxation BU is your best option because of their strenght in international tax issues.

On the down side the economy has been lousy in the US,recent graduates are not getting job offers from big law, however the big four accounting are always recruiting from BU tax LL.M for their Boston and New England States offices.
