I wonder if we could do some statistics! It would be interesting to know background of potential (hopefully)colleagues. Just 6 Qs that could give all us an impression of other applicants.
1. Country of origin/age:
2. GPA:
3. Years of professional experience:
4. Number of publications:
5. Toefl score:
6. Any amazing facts about you:
Please answer the questions (if you find it appropriate and have 2 spare minutes, of course).
thanks
V

I'm from MGU, and applying to HLS, Columbia, NYU and Chicago.
Is there anyone else applying there?

Damn. Only first 5-6 schools with real big numbers of enrolled LLMs (besides Stanford) :). You are smart asses! :) Are you using bank loans, scholarships, Fulbright, law firms leverage to cover your tuition expenses?
Posted Nov 14, 2006 16:18
No, just smart salary. What 'bout you?
Posted Nov 14, 2006 16:29
1) I`m not that smart :). So no Harvard, Stanford or Yale for me.
2) I do not like NYU
3) They pay nice salaries at ILFs :)
4) I do not have 3 years of experience
5) Consider me to be a fresh Russian graduate :)

1) It does not take to be smart to apply to any law school.

Yeah. I think that I should wait for a year or so to see my possible future. Currently I`m at the crossroads.
So tell me, are you going to concentrate on international commercial arbitration... like many MGIMO dudes? :) And why exactly those law schools? Simply because thy are on the top? Or some particular reasons? :)

No, man. I'd concentrate in corporate law. HLS, CLS and NYU are indeed the top schools in corporate law. SLS has a very good corporate program and, besides, it's really on the top ;)

Dudes and ladies, are there any Russians who are currently doing their LL.M. in the U.S.? We could talk to them about admission and ask for advice...
