Stanford v. Columbia

LL.M. app

Columbia does not even come close to Stanford - The latest US News report ranked SLS 2nd, even ahead of Harvard. In the U.S. it is quite common ti refer to "HYS" which means Harvard Yale Stanford - as a group; as well as in general HYPS (including Princeton in general academic matters). Noone has ever considered to include Columbia with this group.

Ivy non ivy does not matter because only HYP (Harvard Yale Princeton) are considered top ivy schools today - all other schools are second tier (except for the Wharton business schools@Penn).

The term "HYS" is well known in the "jargon of law".....

Columbia is normally grouped togeether with Chicago and NYU and referred to as "CCN"....

J.D. applicants know that all; It's time that LL.M. applicants come face reality too.
