Hey Jacosi! Thanks for this. Were you able to find out what the calls are meant for ?

According to what they said to me, it seems that it is just an informal conversation in order to know the applicant and I guess also to prove your English level.

Thanks Jacosi, that's very helpful! Any idea how long these calls last or what they expect from you?

Around 15 minutes. It seems as a kind of formality before sending their decision.

[quote][quote][quote][quote]As some students who did the LL.M programs told me, the first calls are made from Stanford around mid-end of February.

Thanks! :) I've applied for the LST program and understand that it's usually really competitive - hoping for good news!

Yes, all the programs at SLS seem to be very competitive. I heard that for the CGP program there are more than 500 applicants for just 25-30 places.

In my case, I am also applying to Columbia, Chicago, NYU, Oxford, Cambridge and LSE (already got an offer).

I do not know if it is indicative of something or not, but the brother of one of my colleagues in my office already received a rejection from Stanford by e-mail (do not know when he applied, nor the program or the date of the rejection).

Surprising - guess they're rolling out rejections first?

I'm also applying to Harvard, NYU and Berkeley. What about you?

It could be a rejection for the JD program. I believe JD admissions are a rolling process. Nevertheless, good luck to everyone!

Also, as for me - I've applied to the LST LLM at Stanford. I've also applied to Harvard, UCB, Columbia, NYU, Chicago and Cornell Tech.

It actually was for a LL.M. program.

Ah... sorry. That's interesting then. There's still about two months to go before they announce acceptances.

I only applied to CGP LLM Stanford and U-Penn. Haven't got any news from either school.

Hi - does anyone have insight on the environment and energy program class strength in SLS? Also the view on the interview in this forum seems to be that SLS is checking your English proficiency, but for 15 mins! That seems so long! If anyone knows people who have studied in SLS or are from SLS - would be very grateful if you all could tell us what all do they ask.

Hey kiera I have a friend at the environment and energy program right now. She is extremely happy with the school. Will ask her what the interview is all about.

I hate this period of suspense. Have you applied to UChicago as well? I like the regular update emails that Mr. Badger keeps sending almost every week. It helps to look forward to his next email rather than wait for the actual admissions decision.

What other schools have you applied to?

Oh that’s so decent. I applied to Georgetown, Columbia, Stanford and HLS. Waiting for SLS (energy and environment) and HLS. Maybe another week and we should start hearing things. Reading threads, I gather that energy and environment applicants hear first. Painful wait.
