So I have been interviewed for the LLM in Law, Science and Technology. There were two women. The first thing they ask is if you have any questions for them (they did the same question to a friend of mine). I didn't really have any questions, but I took the chance to hear a bit more about the program and talked about scholarship (which they don't offer). They asked if not having a scholarship would be impeditive, and I obviously said that I could always find other sources. After that they said they asked about my professional carreer and about my research. Finally they said the results would be announced in a week or two.
The bad thing is that they make the call without scheduling anything and without allowing you to prepare for it (propably this is intentional) and if I had not been accepted to Harvard I would had been extremelly nervous. The good thing about it is that the two people who were interviewed by phone to the SPILS were accepted. So I guess it means I have good chances.
As I was already accepted to Harvard, and b/c of the possibility of getting a scholarship there, I'm not sure if I'll accept Stanford's offer, if it happens.

Posted Mar 20, 2009 20:10

Posted Mar 20, 2009 20:12
no news for me either. But I would no worry, b/c they said the results would be annouced only next week or the following.

where are you from??
could you share us what they told you?
Posted Mar 20, 2009 23:45
basically the interview was exactly as previously described by gotanda. first, whether I had any questions for them. second, we spoke about my current employment. that was not a long interview at all (sthg like 6 min or so). so I do not really know what I can expect... :(
Posted Mar 20, 2009 23:53
thanks for the information
I supposed they told you the same than gotonda that they expect to send their decisions within the next two weeks?
Don't be worry, you canot expect to hold a long interview, I think and as somebody mentoned, they just want to confirm if you indeed speak english
and at least you already recevied the call, I'm still waiting
good luck
Posted Mar 20, 2009 23:56
that's right. they told me that they intend to release their decisions next week [at least they hope to do so], if not it's gonna be the week after...
good luck!

Is there any hope if one does not receive the call?
Posted Mar 21, 2009 00:01
parapraxis, may you tell us when did you receive the call?
I'm losing my hope actually as I haven't been contacted yet
Posted Mar 21, 2009 00:23
Parapraxis, when were you interviewed and really what telephone number showed up on your telephone? Did it say unknown, I got such a call on my cell phone, without showing any phone number and I did not answer, but no message was left.
Posted Mar 21, 2009 01:16
Feelgood,
you better answer those kinds of calls. They call from unknown numbers and I believe it is to your benefit answering since it means they are considering you a borderline case and they are really trying to give you a chances.
This is of course, my personal view (I received the call few days back)
Posted Mar 21, 2009 01:30
it was an unknown number.
does the call really mean that u r a borderline case? i thought they were supposed to ocall everybody
