Hey guys,
I'm new to this board, and looking for anyone who can help me.
I graduated from law school in 2004, finished around top 25% of the class, and have been working as a litigation associate at a large Miami firm for the past 2-3 years.
I have been interested in getting an LLM in tax from Florida or LLM in estate planning from Miami.
Problem is, my work experience is all in litigation, and I don't really have a background in estate planning or tax.
If I were to leave my job an get an LLM, would I have a difficult getting a good job in the estate planning/tax dep't of a large law firm without that experience, or would firms like the fact that I was a litigation associate for 3 years at a large firm?
Question - is an LLM worth it for me?
