Placement after LLM from NYU/Harvard or any other top college

HI,

I am an Indian student currently pursuing my final year of L.L.B(hons). I am looking forward to apply for L.L.M in international taxation from NYU/any other top university but recently i heard from a friend that the chances of placement are very scant due to dip in the economy and due to the fact that i am a non-american.
Would like to know about the probability of getting job after doing LLM ?and whether these courses are worth doing or not? whats the position in America as to Jobs for legal professionals?

Hello,

considering the current US legal market, should I go to Penn Law or LSE? I would really like to get some sort of work experience after the LLM? I have an LLB from Trinity College Dublin and worked for the Canadian Embassy?

Cheers
