It seems that last year regular round got all their admission/rejection decisions on 25th February, so we should know any day now! I applied early round and got deferred so I'm hoping for a definitive answer this time so that even if I get rejected I can cross it off the list. Anyone else in the deferred pool? :-)

Hi everyone, I'm new to this discussion board.
I was deffered from the early application process and am waiting for the final decision (I can't waiiit!).

I was wondering whether UPenn would tell us the final decision today... since they said BEFORE march 1st and that the office is closed on saturdays and sundays...
what do you think? Did anyone applying through the regular application process or who was deferred from the early application program receive anything?

Last question: were there really rejection decisions sent out in January or everyone who was not accepted in january was deferred?

Just to let u know I've called U penn and they told me we would get decisions by..... MID MARCH! So don't expect the decision today I guess.

Oh... I was deferred and they told me "by March, 1st".

Hi, same for me but I've just called them and that's what they've answered. The waiting is unbearable!

According to earlier threads, January 22 was the first day that (early) Penn admission decisions were communicated to applicants last year. Well, today is March 1st.

So it is not a wait list, it's just that our applications are checked with other applications.

I have confirmed news that five people got offers from Upenn at this blog... and Upenn sent the admission offers without having a look on our applications... means we are in waitlist...

No, they did have a look but they could not choose. Some were accepted in January, some were rejected, and some were deferred. Didn't you get the mail? This means that we are not on "wait list" but we are going to be selected in the regular pool now (that is what they hve explained when I called). And since no decision has been issued today, there is no waiting list since no one has been accepted or rejected yet under the regular application procedure.

I got my official "you're on the Wait List" email today so guys, don't worry, if you've been deferred from early round and you haven't gotten an official decision yet, you haven't been put on the wait list without you knowing, you could still be getting an offer of admission :-)

I also just got my 'Wait List' email! Has anyone been admitted today?? Who will be accepting their places?
