Regarding NYU, it says that this decision (rejection) is a reflection of the strength of the applicant pool rather than a result of a possible weakness in the application...

Haven't heard from NYU. I don't quite understand why don't they just send the rejection, and make us wait so long??

I also think it's kinda disrespectful. I wrote to NYU a couple weeks ago, asking them to expedite their decision, and they told me: "LL.M. applicants who meet the December 1st deadline will be notified of the Committee on Graduate Admissions electronic decision in early to mid-March. We appreciate your patience in this matter".

So, if I'm not wrong, we are past mid-march! If we sent the applications in November, and they have already sent most decisions, why is it so hard to let ALL applicants know?

Got my rejection yesterday (10.30 am NY time). Felt disappointed, of course, but I understand the competition is really steep this year with this economic climate and they have applicants with amazing credentials.

To those still waiting: don't lose hope yet! Logically thinking there are people who will end up rejecting NYU's offers, meaning NYU will have empty seats at their hands -> another batch of offers? And it is also possible that they haven't sent out all the original offers either yet. This is all pure speculation, but l think those who haven't received any news yet still have a chance.

Agree with Flo. I was admitted by both NYU and CLS. Frankly speaking I thought that NYU will give mó some money. Not necessarily the full tuition waiver, but at least something. Since NYU's financial aid is entirely merit based (unlike CLS, for example) this fact means that NYU thinks I am not worthy enough. Damn it.

Generally I have enough funds to support my LLM, but the fact itself has pissed me off deeply. I will go to CLS so my slot in NYU will be vacant)
