NYU Waitlist admissions

NYU1st

Guys, according to the history, do you know that anyone has been admitted from a wait list? I know every year varies but still wish there's a slight chance...

Sigh...

I would very much appreciate any post here.

15th April was the deadline for those who had been offered. So I guess, now the applications would be reviewed again. My friend who has been waitlisted tells me that he has been informed that he would know the outcome by the end of May. But I am sure that everyone who has been waitlisted has heard the same. So I don't know if this helps.

Ruleoflaw: Thanks for the information anyways. It seems to me that no one has been admitted by NYU from a waitlist so far... I have some friends who were in NYU and they said that never heard of any students got into NYU through the wait list...

Well, that's quite disheartening. But I am not sure about the veracity of that either. I know they release more offers than the seats they have, but I am sure that a lot of people will always decline due to various reasons. I don't really know how it works then. What are your other options?

There are others but my ultimate dream is to stay in NYC for at least one year...I submitted the deposit to Fordham already. If NYU doesn't work out i'll go Fordham instead.

Ruleoflaw: I tracked ur posts and it seems that you got tons of awesome offers! Congraz!!! Which one are you taking?

BABC: Congraz! Mind sharing your background with us here? Thanks!

hi NYU1st
i have 4 years and a half of work experience with contracts and corporate..graduated at a top law scholl in my country (USP-Brazil) with good (not excelent) grades-7.7/10.0-scored 112 in the toefl
i would only be able to attend this year with fin aid...since i did not ask for aid (thought i would have more money from my employer) i am planing to go to Berkeley or NU (where its cheaper to live)
hope it helps...
