Me too!
Do you know if and how many students they took from the list last year?

Hi.. I just wanna share a tip with you for your curiosity, even though it is not helpful for you guys.

As far as I heard in private, they started their review on the waiting list on last Wednesday, May 18.

However, I don't know exactly when the process is going to end, and I suppose it will go at least one full week.

According to their official information, the number of candidates on the wating list is 50 or so, and the deadline of the notice will be hopefully the end of May.

What we can do is just sit and waiting..

Hi Noel, thanks for sharing this information with us! I received an email from NYU informing that the decisions would be made until the end of the month. I hope we have a feed back by the end of this week. Have you been offered admission on another LL.M. program you would like to attend too?

Hi there Luisa,

If I'm not wrong, I recall from your posts that u have paid deposit to UPenn but still waiting for a response from NYU right? I'm in the same position i.e. proceeding with UPenn but still waiting for a final decision from Columbia as I'm placed on their wait-list.. they also say that I might hear of the decision by the end of May. The wait is killing me! If you get admitted to NYU, are u definitely going to drop UPenn? and what are the reasons? In term of ranking, there is not much difference (except yep, being in the tope 5 and top 7) so just want to know the perspective of someone in a similar situation. Thanks!

Hi guys, I am on the exact same situation: accepted at Upenn; waitlisted at Columbia and NYU. Still, in any case, I am not that positive about dropping UPenn.

Luisa, vc é brasileira, não? Como posso contactar vc?

Hi guys, I called the office of admissions today and they told me that they are still reviewing the applications and that they expect to be sending the letters next week by express mail.
Ah, they also told me that they cannot tell their decisions by phone.
So, guess we will have to wait at least one more week.

I received the package notifying me of admission on Tuesday, June 1. The letter inside was dated May 19. I live in the US (Midwest). It is a neat package of materials, with 2 cd-roms and some cool multimedia stuff. Those of you outside the US should be hearing soon.

I think I will attend LSE instead, so that should free up another place. I want to work for an international firm in London and do project finance or trade work after graduation. Anybody think I am making a bad decision by choosing LSE over NYU? My feelings are 1) it will be about $15,000 cheaper; 2) It will be a great experience to live abroad and attend a foreign institution; 3) the course offerings appear more interesting; 4) I can spend the year doing interviews and trying to get a job in London.
Any thoughts?

I just withdrew from NYU's LLM program today (general study). So, I am sure there are still more spaces available. Good luck, guys!

Luisa,

I think we are in the same situation...
I called on Friday and they said that it is the first year that they have a waiting list so they are not used to this kind of procedure and that they hope to tell us soon and that they are sorry...
They may have already answered to some of us and wait for them to get back before asking to the next one and so on and so forth...
What do you think? Have you called them also this week?

Have a nice day,

Elodie

Hi Elodie,

I haven´t called them again. But I think you might be right, they call an applicant and wait for his answer and then call another... well, I think we will have to wait a little bit longer.
Good luck!!
