NYU vs Cornell Tech vs UC Berkeley

HMSA

Hi Everyone,

I am interested in pursuing a LLM focused on law and technology and after that work for some technology company.

I have admission offers from NYU, Cornel Tech and UC Berkeley and all programs are focused on law and technology.

Can anyone advise on how to choose?

Congrats on all your admissions! To be honest, both NYU and Berkeley are ranked higher than Cornell Tech (and Cornell Law for that matter) and as much as rankings shouldn't matter, they do and employers care. Also, going to Berkeley and NYU will probably better prepare you for the bar because they offer more bar courses and support and often times in-house positions won't even consider you until you've passed the bar (assuming you're foreign qualified). Also the association with Berkeley and silicon valley/tech is really strong so that might open some doors. Cornell Tech is a unique option that, but comparatively is relatively knew and the other two's reputations are known worldwide.
