NYU Tax LLM - Domestic Candidates

phisher

With the flurry of decisions being received and then reported on the forums, I've had trouble keeping up with which programs have been making decisions and whether those decisions were for domestic or international students.

So I thought I'd try to narrow this particular posting down to US Domestic applicants to NYU Tax LLM program.

Anyone received decisions yet?

Hi guys. I know it could be out of the thread rationale but I need some perspective on NYU Law School from US educated people. I am an italian guy graduated in Business LAw with the hughest honors. Admitted to NYU LLM for the next year and i wish to work in NY and enter the bar. I am also considering a possible phd in USA later on. I m still waitin for acceptance from CLS. My areas of special. would be MA ADRs Bankruptcy, international litigation. Thanks for your opinion in advance.

Those of you who just got in -- when did you go complete?

I went complete on March 10. I'm assuming it'll still be a couple weeks at least before I hear anythngn, but sometimes the turnaround is rather fast with these things.

Another week gone without hearing anything for me. I have noticed the board gets a lot of posts about decisions early in the week, so perhaps we'll get good news in the next few days.

Anyone have better luck this week?

Anyone have worse luck, but at least get a decision?

I am not an insider, but from what NYU says on its application instructions, no preference is given to domestic candidates who apply prior to the April 1 deadline. That means they will be accepting people at least into early April. Sure some people are accepted earlier, but if you're a domestic student, then certainly don't give up hope at least until April 1 and if you don't have another deadline pending on April 1, then don't give up hope at least until April 15.

And to those who are annoyed that NYU is still reviewing your application after all these months, it's not that they are still reviewing your application, it's that they are waiting to see who else applies by the April 1 deadline. So I know it's hard, but you just need to be patient a little while longer.

So it seems that NYU is slowly starting to make decisions on domestic tax applicants... though they may be waiting until after the application deadline to make all final decisions. Hopefully things will be released soon after the 4/1 deadline and not at the end of April (or later...).

Good luck to all and be sure to let us know if you get any good or bad news!

I'm a domestic applicant to the tax program. I went complete 11/1 and sent my 2nd semester grades in mid-February but have heard nothing. I'm in everywhere else (applied to all of the top 10 programs), but I know that there's no guarantee I'll be in at NYU. Anyone know when I should hear?

today was the application deadline, right? common sense would say a slew of admission decisions should be released in the near future.

for those who have been accepted, when's the enrollment deposit due date?

Hopefully the admissions committee has already reviewed those files that have been complete for quite a while... That would mean they would only need to look over those few last-minute application files and most of the decisions would have already been made and simply delayed until now.

Good luck to everyone!
