Has anyone been admitted to the International Legal Studies program? It appears that the rolling admissions may be based on the specializations. I could be wrong though.

Hi!
Those who have been accepted can you please mention where was your first law degree?
I noticed that many of the admitted are from Austria, Brazil, Canada and Croatia. I just want to see if there's a pattern there with alphabetic order from first law degree!
Sorry if I sound a little cray-cray, I just can't unseen it now! jajaja
Thanks!
I got admitted as well. I am Nigerian and I obtained my first law degree from Nigeria. Does anyone know when we may expect to receive financial aid decision? How much aid do they usually give. Does anyone know any external funding sources that its application is still ongoing which I can apply to?
Many thanks in anticipation of your responses!
Hi. Nigerian here. Financial aid decisions are usually made Mid-march. My guess for this year is the first wave should be between March 17 - 19. You can look at the NYU brochure to see the aids you can possibly qualify for. Only Hauser covers tuition and living expenses, and you must have submitted a separate essay to be considered for it. The trend has been to give only 10 students and usually only one Nigerian, if at all. Other scholarships include full tuition or partial tuition. A good external funding source is Prodigy Finance (variable interest rate) and Mpower (fixed interest rate). Mpower has a limit of $25k per year and $50k for a life time. I think Prodigy can give you up to the entire amount you need for your program. With Mpower you also have to pay interest while in school and i think it is compound. Prodigy has no requirement to pay interest while in school until after graduation and I am not so sure they use a compound interest but simple interest. Credit history may affect interest rates you get. APR usually ranges from like 5% to 13% if I recall for Prodigy. You do not need a co-signer and you can get a response on whether you have a provisional offer in like 20 minutes. For both Mpower and Prodigy, loans are due 6 months after graduation. The pro for Mpower for me is really just the fixed interest rate.
