Congratulations to all who have been accepted. I am planning to apply for academic year 2018-2019. I wanted information on whether Chicago is good place for international arbitration LLM?
I have about 5 years of litigation practice and I have worked on few international arbitrations matters. I wish to specialise in international arbitration? Is Chicago a good school to apply?
Thanks

Just FYI, I just rejected NYU with a half-tuition scholarship in favour of Columbia with a similar financial aid waiver.

Schmelzer and lot458, I think that decision is sound. Besides, you can't go wrong with going to either Columbia or NYU. By the way, just wondering, when you say half-tuition, how much exactly would that be?

Wow, that's a lot! I think you've got the highest financial aid from Columbia thus far! Congratulations!!
So how do you plan to cover the shortfall? Did they also offer you a loan?

I applied completed, Feb 1, have not heard anything. Has anyone recently heard about admissions for domestic tax?

Anybody that has been admitted to the Corp law program and is also considering enrolling for the business certificate program? I am a little dicey on whether to enrol for it or not, given the extra expenses.

Just got in. Applied late January. Top 30 law school, top 35%, three state tax agency internships, two years of VITA, and two LORs from two of the tax agencies. Tax grades were meh at best (two As and 3 Bs).
Good luck!
