NYU -- Housing costs

loneal27

I've read all the content on here about D'Agostino vs. Mercer and appreciate the info. Is there any information about the specific cost of rent for '07-'08? I didn't find any concrete numbers on the website. If there are no numbers yet, can someone give me an estimate?

Thanks.

$1650/month for a 210 sq ft studio in the Village. Hmm...

Excellent deal if you are leaving NYC as soon as you graduate.

If you are planning on staying in the city, you would be better off renting an apartment elsewhere. If you can afford it.

Hi,
Am from India and have been admitted to the Corporation law program at NYU. I am exploring possibilities of staying off-campus. It looks like there is a cost cutting versus distance trade off here. NJ looks a little far though less expensive.

Inputs on places within NYC which will be a good deal will be valuable. If anyone else is interested, we could team up as well.

If you're coming here from a foreign country, your best bet is the law dorms. Anything significantly less expensive will be in a bad neighborhood or a really long commute.

Hi Lawyer. Am from india as well and wil be joining NYU's corporation law program this fall.
have apploed for univ. housing, but still open to better off-campus options, if any.
NY certainly would be far, considering the odd class timings and weather concers.
