Hi Guys!

Little help- how does one reject an offer? The website is essentially only giving the option to accept and enroll.

TIA

You can email them. I simply sent a nice and polite email explaining why I will not be able to accept the offer. They reply and wish you good luck.

Anyone ever called to know how many people are on the wait list?

I doubt they would tell anyone these details.

Although I cannot confirm this, I have heard that normally more acceptances are sent out than the number of seats taking into account an average rejection rate. If this is true, chances of getting in from the waitlist may be next to nil.

But nothing wrong with a little bit of hope :)

Don't give up hope I am on the waitlist as well. Stay positive we don't know how many people accepted. Also if you look at past years posts people have been accepted off the waitlist.

Go watch game of thrones or something to keep you mind off of it. I am looking forward to these NBA playoffs and NFL draft. Studying for level II of the CFA. All fun things.

Yes I agree with you! Universities organize wait lists just in case defection are out of control. Might be the case this year, lot of people are refusing NUY's offer.

To add something to the "big data", I'd like to let my fellow applicants know that I just declined my offer of admission to the LL.M. in Corporation Law (no financial aid).

I almost regretted it when I received NYU's response to my withdrawal they are super nice and supportive (even to someone who is not attending)!

For those who are still hesitating or waiting for a final decision, if you do not have a compelling reason to choose otherwise, you can not go wrong with attending NYU.

Its been far too long for no one to have heard from the waitlist. Has anyone contacted the admissions office to find out if spots are currently open and got any answers? I wonder if there are any at this point. Also, anyone who does get in from the waitlist, please do post your news here, it would really help out the rest of us on the waitlist as we are trying to finalise our plans.

Hi there,
I have also withdrawn my acceptance for the LLM in Corporate Law at NYU. I feel the same - they are so nice that I almost regretted it :)
Anyway good luck for those on waitlist!

I haven't heard anything either... Has someone tried to contact them ?
Judging by this thread, it seems like they had a lot of rejections...

I think it appears a bit skewed that way. A lot of people reject every year, and this is expected when sending out offers. I think this year the rejections might have been within the number expected by the admissions committee. I think the people on the waitlist are now just there to fill vacancies from last minute unforseen events like a visa being rejected and the like.

I think it would be interesting to know if any people got in from the waitlist last year.

I got in through the wait list last year (and am graduating shortly).
From what I recall I found out I had been accepted in late April.
