I am applying to both in the fall. Now, assuming that I am offered admission to both, which one is best suited for me? I want to get into Criminal Law- a.k becoming a prosecutor. I am not sure on which school would be best for that program. I understand Columbia is an Ivy League school, but perhaps the pre-law program is better? please help, thank you!

I would say that Columbia is better for public law, i.e. criminal law, constitutional law, etc. NYU may be better for private law, i.e. corporations, taxation, intellectual property. Both have good programs in public international law. Just my opinion. Good luck.

I think its exactly the opposite. For far, Columbia is better than NYU in Coporate Law. And, for far, NYU is better than Columbia in Humanitarian Law.
