I was talking to a friend who said Florida is ranked 3rd and Northwestern 4th on the Tax Program Ranking from Us News.

Depends on where you want to end up (Midwest vs. South)

Florida was previously ranked #2 (now #3) and NW has consistently been #4

Hi,

I am currently a tax LLM student at Northwestern. I can't really compare but of what I ve heard, it's quite the same.

Right, Florida is 3 and Northwestern is 4 but really the difference won't be huge.

About Northwestern, I can tell you that professors are very very good, the program is heavy and all classes go very deep in cases and different regulations.

Depends what you want to do then but if you are interested in international tax issues, you have 4 awesome classes (5 if you take tax treaties).

The university by itself is in Chicago downtown, just accross the lake, brand new building with a useful and wonderful library.

Come back to me if you need more information, was just a first opinion but I could write pages on this program.
