Northwestern Law - Legal English Summer Institute

I have already got the admission of LLM,2006 from N.U.
Few days ago, N.U sent me an e-mail regarding the Legal English Summer Institute.
Since the fees(roughly 3500 USD) of the Legal English Summer InstituteIs is expensive, is it necessary to attend such class before the LLM class begins?
thanks a lot.

Hi there! I've also been admitted to NU Law and I'm probably going accept its offer. I, however, do not intend to attend the Legal English Summer Course. Do you think most LLMs are going to attend it?
Cheers.

Hi guys. Did you apply for the LLM tax program or for the general LLM?? I am considering to apply to the LLM tax program next year and I would like to know any insights from foreign people admitted for the forecoming year.
Thanks and good luck!

I got NU's acceptance too. If your TOEFL is very low (like me 540), you should participate in this course. Hope to see you in this preparatory program. Do you think we are permitted to take some marketing courses at Kellogg like those LLM-Kellogg students? I'm only admitted to 8.5-month LLM course.

I'm also keen on engaging in this course. My toefl is ok, though. However, i don't place much trust on this evaluation test, and since as of now i've never travelled abroad, i'm needy of empirical knowledge of the English Language in order to develop my abilities, and of special importance, my speaking one.

Jayjac, as to the possibility of taking up a couple of LLM/Kellog courses, you are entitled to take one or two with the permission of the corresponding department. They clogg up at a rapid pace so that you ought to register well in advance in order to secure a vacancy. Also, Kellog Students get involved in some legal courses along with JDs and LLMs, and there's also a crosstraining with the above school in all of the Curriculum. Hope this helps.
