LLM possibility?

lcdoPR

I had a 3.89 gpa in my JD and was the first grade in the law school class rank. Also I was the best grade in the PR bar. In this moment, I work as lawyer in a recognized puerto rican law firm.

I want to study LLM, but I unknown my universities admissions possibilities.

Somebody can help me?

I'll tell you one thing, I know students who have had a lesser GPA than yours and just a few months worth of work experience who have gotten into some of the top schools in the US.

It's about the strength of your overall application. You've already checked off two of the major components here: good grades and work experience.

So my advice is to get strong recommendation letters from the partners at your law firm/university professors, etc. Begin working on your personal statement, research the schools you want and make each personal statement not only personal to YOU, but to the school you're applying to. Try and draft your personal statement in a way that shows you have researched each school and you're interested in it.

Bottom line: You never know until you try, so go ahead and apply.

Good luck!
