Hey everybody!
I hope I won´t bother anybody with my following questions...
I am a law-student in Germany and I just wrote my exam and now I am still waiting for my results.
Since it took so much time to prepare for the exam I did not have any chances to worry about anything else!
But I always wanted to go to the States to make my LLM. I used to go to Highschool in California an loved living there. I just love the american way of live and since I am losing my english (as you can tell) I wanna go back!
But what are the chances?
I checked the Internet and since I don´t know my results and probably wouldn´t get a scholarship (for Tennis or soccer or being smart ;-)) I think that this year is not afordable!
So, do I have to bury my plans?
Are there any possibilities?
How did you guys afford?
And is it to late if I wanna go next fall?
Hope somebody will answer!
Thanx a lot

So, your problem is only finacial problem, isn't it?
Perhaps, if you get a good grade, a university in US may grant you some financial aid.
In my case, my parent can afford my whole tuition fee.
Finally, i think it's not too late to come to the states next fall. You can find a job to gain some legal experience which is very helpful for your application to apply for an llm in most top U.
Or you can take a bar exam in your country which is also very helpful for your application.
maybe we can talk.(I use msn and i am studying in wisconsin )

Thanks for the answer!
It also doesn´t really matter what University I should go to. Over here most people don´t even know which are the best ones besides the usual suspects like Yale, Harvard, Princeton or Stanford. I would love to go to San Diego since there are some friends from Highschool and since it is such a beautiful city!
But I won´t see a lot anyway. It is probably a whole lot of work for that year starting with the vocabulary ;-)
Anybody here from Europe who made his LLM in the States?
Please tell me your experiences
thx
