I got admitted to an LLM program and will have to create my own curriculum. I would like to practice law in the US in the future. It seems so hard to jam 3 JD years in 1 year of LLM. Can anyone please let me know what would be the courses I absolutely have to take? Thank you for any help.

Before you choose your curriculum call the state BAR of the state where you want to practice law and ask them about that, you will probably have to send them your transcripts, copy of law diploma,... for their analysis and then they will inform you what subjects you have to take in your LLM program in order to sit for their BAR later.
At least that is how it works in NY.

By the way, if you are admitted to practice law in any other country you are eligible to take the California BAR.
